Oh-h-h-h! I HATE this thing! My human mommy got a shock collar for me when I started becoming "disobedient" (or so she says. I thought I was just being protective of her!) Anyway, after about a year, I noticed I could get by with things as it didn't bother me as bad as it used to. Then, one day, I saw her messing around with my collar. She got a package in the mail the same day. She did something with that package and my collar. I had to laugh! That package was never needed before to make my collar work, why did she think it would be important now? It's not like she had to spend a lot of money on a new collar. I heard her tell my brother (her "son") that this package was about half price compared to one the manufacturer sold. Why that's important, I don't know, don't care, but she thought it was a big deal. So, ok, mommy's happy. That's always a good thing for me.

So, a few minutes of fooling around with my collar, she hooked it up to that wire thing. Good! Something I don't have to deal with now, or so I thought. A few hours later, though, I saw her looking at it. Then, she took it off that wire thing and put it around my neck. Like a good dog, I stood still and let her do that. No worries. I hadn't been minding her for awhile now as this didn't bother me anymore like it used to. So, I thought I could go on disobeying her when I wanted and all would be the same. Not so much.

My mommy also owns a cat. I know better than to chase after him, but it's so-o-o much fun! And, sure enough, that feline ran in front of me later that day, and I decided I would chase after him. I wasn't going to hurt him. We are really good friends, but it's my nature. I was right on his tail, enjoying the chase, when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, I felt something I hadn't felt in awhile. Wow. I stopped chasing that stupid cat immediately! How did she do that? Things were going so well....

I have been wearing this thing for awhile now, and it is working very good (according to my mommy). All I know is that I have to mind better now, and not do things I know I'm not supposed to do. But, you know what? I get lots of loving from mommy when I do behave, and I respect my "alpha" so, really, my life is better.
