    Brought the Nook back to life (and makes me wonder why Barnes & Noble put a sub-standard Lithium-Polymer battery into the Nook in the first place). The included tools made it very easy to pop-off the plastic back plate and replace the battery.

    Ordered 2 for 2 1st gen nooks. One worked as expected, the other kept showing charged when it was not. Changed into both nooks, recieved message on both. Contacted customer service, they sent packing labels so I could mail back. Did not want refund but another battery. I mailed back battery and they sent another, works great. Both batteries actually work better than the last one I recieved from Barnes and Noble store. Would definitely buy again.

  4. Extended life for your 1st gen Nook

    Install was easier than expected on this 1st gen Nook. Started by gently prying the back loose at the charge port and worked around the back until it came off. Removed small screw, removed old battery and installed new one. Reinstalled screw, snapped back on and done. 5 minute job. Wife very pleased with results. Nook performing as new. Extended life, what could be better?!

  5. First generation Nook lives again

    My first generation Nook is quite a few years old and hadn't been turned on for awhile. The original battery was failing and wouldn't charge above 17% and couldn't fully load the software. I am glad that I found this battery. I received the battery on the first day of the estimated delivery period. The toolkit was great and made it very easy to pop out the old battery and insert the new one. The new battery was already charged and I was able to check the unit immediately and found all of my latest books already present. I am so glad that I didn't have to send the Nook for recycling when the only problem was the battery.
