How to Replace the SP3676B1A Battery in your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet

Use this detailed step-by-step repair guide to help you replace the battery in your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Step 1

Remove the stylus from your Samsung Galaxy Note
Use a plastic opening tool to remove the silver piece on the back side of the tablet. There is double sided tape and plastic clips securing the fringe to the Note. You will need to run the opening tool around all edges to safely separate and remove this section.
Remove the 3 Phillips screws that are now exposed and place them in a safe area.

Step 2

Insert a plastic opening tool into the top seam. Begin at the top area you were just working removing the screws.
Use the plastic opening tool and carefully run it along the top to release the clips and around the perimeter of the Note until you are able to lift the back cover off.

Step 3

First disconnect the existing battery. To do this use a plastic tool to lift up on the battery connector to separate it from the board.
Carefully disconnect the 4 cables (3 large ribbon cables and the 1 small) that are attached to the motherboard. To do this gently lift up any tape that may be holding the ribbon cable connectors down (you can use tweezers for this) and then gently lift up the small clips to lift away from the motherboard. You can use your plastic opening tool for this.

Step 5

Locate and remove the ten screws using the small Phillips #00 Screwdriver.
Place the 10 screws in a safe area. Keep separate from the first 3 screws as the size is slightly different.

Step 6

Lift up to remove the existing battery to remove from the Note
Once the old battery is removed, replace with your SP3676B1A New Replacement Battery for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (pictured below) and follow steps in reverse order to reassemble.
