Step 1

• Using one of the plastic opening tools, carefully pry the silver binding around the tablet from the glass edge. You may need to go around the device several times carefully applying force for it to come off.

  

Step 2

• To begin disconnecting the battery, first you must release the five wire connection from the motherboard. Gently insert a plastic opening tool or tweezers under the connector (pictured below) and use a slight left to right motion to separate the connector from the connection. Begin with small motions and gradually increase the space until the connector releases from the socket.
  

  

Step 3

• Using the #00 screwdriver, remove the 6 screws around the battery. This should allow for you to remove the battery from the device.
