1. How does one know the quality of a new battery?

   The battery looks identical to the old Garmin battery that the 396 came with some 12 years ago. It works fine, and appears to charge fine. Time will tell about quality. The price was far better than the Garmin battery that I bought six years ago (less than half). It arrived only a couple of days after I ordered it. Service was great.

4. Garmin replacment battery pack

   This product works well and has been holding a charge for several daily trips. The battery does not fit firmly into the Garmin 376C. A piece of paper will provide a little more security. I have a go-fast boat and can get bounced around and do not want the battery to fall out while under travel.
   
   I would purchase again.

   I use my GPS mostly in my car, so battery isn't exactly mandatory for me, after couple of long years, original battery die and this replacement at very convenient price do excellent job.

   This battery replaces a more pricing Garmin battery and as far as I can tell, works just as well as the Garmin.

9. Excellent replacement for OEM

   Many of the batteries offered for these Garmin Map GPS units have a problem with the fit into GPS, and staying "locked in". This supplier's battery fit perfectly. Not only a good price, but their delivery was exceptional.

    First battery shipped did not work. After contacting them they immediately sent a replacement battery after testing it. Very good service.
