Use this detailed step-by-step repair guide to help you replace the battery in your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

Step 1

Begin in the middle of one side of the tablet and insert a plastic opening tool between the rear panel and the front panel.
Check the tool to be sure the small arrow on the prying tool is pointed toward the backside of the Tab.

Step 2

Use the plastic pry tool carefully run it along the edge and around the perimeter to pry apart the tablet and separate the front and back. Careful not to push or pull too hard with the tool as it could damage the tablet.
Gently to lift up and down around the Tab until it is easy to separate.

Step 3

Gently remove tape over the ribbon cable connectors and place to the side.
Using the opening tools, gently lift the connector latches to disconnect the ribbon cables.

Step 4

Locate the (10) Phillips screws securing the battery to the motherboard.
Using the small precision Phillips screwdriver remove all (10) screws and safely put aside.

Step 5

Check to be sure the battery cable is disconnected from the board.
Lift up on the battery and apply upward pressure from beneath to remove the original battery.
