How to Replace the SP4960C3A Battery in Your Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0

Use this detailed step-by-step repair guide to help you replace the battery in your Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0

Necessary Replacement Parts:

• SP4960C3A New Replacement Battery for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0

Necessary Replacement Tools:

• Plastic Opening Tools
• Phillips #00 Screwdriver
• Y1 Tri-wing Screwdriver

Note: Above tools are included for FREE when this replacement battery is purchased from mpfproducts.com.

Step 1

• Using one of the plastic opening tools (you can also use a safety pin or paperclip) pop the two circular plastic tabs near the dock connector off the rear case.
  

  

Step 2

• Remove the two screws using the tri-wing screwdriver. Place them in a safe area for when you reassemble your tablet.
  

  

Step 3

• The following steps require you to disengage the clips around the perimeter of the tablet. Do no use strong force as the clips are fragile and could be broken if you exert too much pressure. Clips shown in red in below image.
  

  

Step 4

Please note: the following steps are the same for the battery replacement whether the glass is intact or shattered. (Our device just happened to have shattered glass)

• Insert one of the plastic opening tools near the left bottom edge of the case.
• Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry along the perimeter of the tablet to release the clips. You may need to pry around the edges several times as the two pieces begin to separate.

Step 5

• Once you safely separate the two halves, lift and remove the front panel from the rear panel.

Step 6 

• Remove the single screw securing the battery to the motherboard using the Phillips #00 Screwdriver.

  

Step 7

• Use the edge of a plastic opening tool to push upwards on the battery wires to release from its connector on the motherboard.

Once the old battery is removed, replace with your
